Topping for 4 individual desserts, and enough left over for ever-important snacking

What exactly is streusel? German for “something scattered or sprinkled,” it’s the sweet-yet-salty, crumbly top to most of our favorite desserts. And with a total cook time of 25 minutes, it’s as easy to make as it is to pair with your favorite treats. Perfect atop sous vide cheesecake (now available to try out in the app), this cookie crumble also adds a delightful crunch to Joule-made yogurt, texture to at-home ice creams, and makes fancy plating a breeze for deconstructed dishes. With its crispy, crunchy texture, streusel can be an integral part of a balanced dish. So if you don’t know, now you know. This is streusel.
