ChefSteps

Just as the ChefSteps kitchen began developing a recipe for the perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies, a new coworker joined our ranks: Amy Hatch Ono, a very welcome addition to the ChefSteps team but also a person who doesn’t eat gluten. While the rest of us were chowing down on all sorts of tasty test treats, poor Amy got none. It wasn’t right. So the kitchen decided to come up with a gluten-free cookie that had the same chewy-outside, molten-inside texture as the original. Did they pull it off? They did! And you can see how in the video above. Then get baking with our Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe or apply the learnings to your own favorite recipe. All of us, after all, could use a cookie from time to time—no matter what our diets dictate.
