Air frying—aka super or “ultra” convection—makes it incredibly quick and easy to cook salmon. (Seriously, it takes just 4 minutes!) In the video below, Grant shows you how to transform bite-sized nuggets of salmon into succulent and tender morsels that are perfect for piling high on buns, burger-style, loaded up with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Making nuggets instead of burger patties ensures every bite is generous and the focus stays on the flavor of the salmon (which isn’t diluted by binders or fillers). Dicing the salmon also ensures that the fish is evenly cooked through. Air-frying a larger filet would take more time, and you risk burning or drying out the exterior before the interior is fully cooked. While this technique isn’t going to give you super crispy results—without breading, you won’t be able achieve something akin to a fast food-style chicken nugget—it does get dinner on the table before hunger sets in. Now that’s a real weeknight win!
