Always wanted to create an epic multicourse dinner? In our Tasting Menu: Spring feature, we’re sharing recipes from a carefully orchestrated tasting menu we served to friends at a cozy spring dinner party in the ChefSteps kitchen. Our menu description: Pork. Kale. Sun-dried tomato.

But really, what’s in there? Just bacon broth, tomato broth, and kale juice, but take a sip and you’ll think you’re drinking a BLT!

Plating suggestion: A small earthenware cup or drinking bowl

Pair with: 2011 Domaine du Collier Saumur Blanc

Wine note: This chenin blanc is textural and bright, with a really unique nose that’s almost tropical.About the Dish: Imagine a BLT sandwich that’s also a beverage. Welp, that’s the experience you get with this lovely drinking broth recipe. This is a surprising and delightful experience for diners. Try it when you’re bringing together strangers—or when you’re in need of a fun icebreaker.
