ChefSteps

Here at ChefSteps, we are pesto people. We love experimenting with our favorite nuts, seeds, fresh herbs, and oils, then whirling it all together in a blender or food processor and spooning it atop everything from lamb chops to salads, pasta to cheese-smeared crostini. This particular pesto is pretty amazing over butternut squash, whether you confit it in the microwave, roast it over an open fire, or cook it to that perfect tenderness with Joule. But it’d also be awesome with homemade capunti or atop a pork chop. You could even drizzle it onto puréed cauliflower soup or serve as an appetizer with a sampling of roasted root veg. Simply put, if it works well with fresh, earthy flavors, it works well with this pumpkin seed pesto.
