Description

Ground beef is composed of meat trimmings from throughout the carcass that are pressed through grinding equipment with uniform holes to achieve a consistent texture. Purchasers can specify their desired ratio of fat to meat. Typical combinations are lean (85 percent meat to 15 percent fat), extra lean (90 percent meat to 10 percent fat), fatty (80 percent meat to 20 percent fat). The ground beef is then formed into patties that can be grilled. Customer can also request special burger patties. This is when you request specific cuts be ground to your specifications and formed into patties.
